Bechukosai - the missing letter vav's & current events

Why does the verse refer to Hashem remembering Yakov before redemption? Why isn't the name Yisrael used? Why is it spelled with an extra letter Vav? Why is the vav taken from Eliyahu? What do Eliyahu and Yakov represent? What is the lesson of Yosef? How does it apply to current events?

Find out in this week's Parsha Podcast.

Running time: 26:38

I will just mention that this podcast is very connected to the previous post, the video with Glenn Beck. I plan to soon put out another Moshiach Podcast that will deal with what is going on right now. I have not written recently because things have just been so obvious as to what is going on, it is almost impossible not to see it; but I realize that we live in a world of masks, and the mask needs to be removed, so I will bl'n try to put something together next week.

There is so much here to ponder!! Following G-d is an act of unconditional love simply because we cannot fully comprehend everything. Nonetheless, you have done a good job of explaining it through the life stories of Joseph, Jacob, and Elijah as well as through what is happening today. Oh, if we could only be more like Joseph internalizing the concept that G-d is ALWAYS good regardless of the situations around us. We do need to trust that Israel and G-d will be victorious in the end. You are right when you say that we all will be forced to choose betwwen the right or the wrong side. Naturally, I choose to stand with Israel regardless of what our leaders in the United States do.
Thanks again!

Gevaldig! What an interesting D'va Torah! It is true what you say and it is auspicious, too because I see it coming on even more quickly with each passing day. It is also scary to think what may be in Elul and yet Ani ledodi v'dodi li. Hashem's hand is truly guiding us and stretching out to us. I had heard that Glen Beck was having a rall, yet I did not realize it will be in August. It is actually very soon- only 3 months. There is so much going on in our world with such rapidity it is that every day if one looks at the media major things take place...Yasher koach to you for keeping us spiritually abreast of the situation. Please continue to do so in good health.
